Synagogue Life
Our vibrant community is multi-generational and has opportunities for individuals and families at every life stage to get involved. We offer targeted programming for our families with young children, youth, teens, young adults, Sisterhood, adult learners,
empty-nesters, singles, grandparents, and more.

Shabbat & Holidays
When you walk into a Shabbat or holiday service in the sanctuary or chapel at Temple of Aaron, you’ll notice the distinct marks of a Conservative congregation – egalitarianism and respect for religious tradition. We sing and recite prayers primarily in Hebrew. The Rabbis’ Torah teachings, sermons, and other comments, all in English, inform and enrich the experience. The Shaliach Tzibor, musical leader of the service, along with occasional services with choir and musical accompaniment further enhances the mood of prayer.
During our Shabbat and Holiday services we offer youth programming and/or babysitting. In addition, families can enjoy Shabbat morning in our Smith Library Pray & Play Space, a welcoming space filled with toys, books, and coffee with our Shabbat service livestream. It is a wonderful place for families to watch the service with space for our little ones to make noise and play.
Following services each Shabbat, please join us for our full and delicious Shabbat lunch!
Major Events
Throughout the year, we host major events for the community including our annual celebrity fundraiser, scholar-in-residence speakers, our annual Purim Carnival, and more.

We affirm our sacred and enduring connection to the Land and State of Israel.
This bond is not merely historical—it is living, evolving, and deeply personal. We maintain an active relationship with Israel through prayer, education, advocacy, and community engagement. In times of joy and in moments of heartbreak, we stand with our brothers and sisters across the sea.
We proudly support Israel’s right to exist in peace and security and believe in its promise as a homeland for the Jewish people and a beacon of hope for the future. We pray for wisdom among leaders, safety for all who dwell in the land, and a lasting peace rooted in justice and dignity.
May we continue to strengthen the sacred ties between our congregation and Israel—with open hearts, thoughtful action, and enduring faith.
We have a thriving and vibrant community of families with young children. We offer a variety of programming including a monthly Tot Shabbat for babies 0-2 and their grown-ups, Toddler, PreK, & K classes each Shabbat morning for children ages 2-6, and community-wide programming including: High Holiday family services, Sukkot and Simchat Torah programming, Young Family Shabbat dinners, Hanukkah Celebration, Annual Purim Carnival, and much more!

Social Justice & Social Action
The Social Justice and Action Committee provides an opportunity for Temple of Aaron members to put our Jewish values into practice by helping those in need in our community. An inclusive group committed to Tzedek (Justice) and Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World), we believe that a primary way to keep our covenant with God, learn from the Torah and practice Jewish life each day is through our actions towards all people. Throughout the year we hold food drives for our partners at Neighborhood House, blood drives, volunteer at food distributions in the community, work on environmental initiatives, and offer discussions and learning in the community around contemporary issues of justice.

Temple of Aaron Sisterhood is an affiliate of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.
We support our Temple of Aaron by:
-
Sponsoring, promoting, and contributing to Jewish education and cultural activities in the Congregation.
-
Sponsoring and encouraging Jewish youth activities and affiliations.
-
Two of our annual charitable fundraising programs are Torah Fund, the Women’s Leage National fundraising program that provides world-wide scholarships for students studying to be Conservative (Masorti) rabbis, cantors and lay leaders and supports their 5 campuses, and Building Fund, the charitable fund that provides funds for targeted Temple needs.
