Membership
Temple of Aaron members are the heart of our community, and we rely on the generous financial support of our members to sustain the important work we do together.
We offer flexibility in creating a level of monthly dues that fits in the budget of each individual and family. Our sustaining level dues is $150 per month.
Please note we have current members donating monthly dues ranging from $0 to $1600. That range means everyone can find their space at Temple of Aaron.
Over the years, many former members and Jewish visitors from other synagogues have remarked to us that they would love to somehow be affiliated with the Temple of Aaron. However, they have full membership elsewhere, and find it too difficult to support two institutions at full dues level. Our Board of Directors reflected and established a Second Home Membership Plan. Monthly dues are $25 to create a special Second Home connection. Second Home members will receive the Aaronion newsletter, High Holyday tickets, and are welcome to participate in many of our general activities. Their primary membership will take care of lifecycle events and yahrzeits.

Donate
Your donations to our synagogue support our community and programs. Thank you for your generosity and for being part our journey together.
Campaigns and Funds that need support:

Annual High Holyday Appeal: Each year we ask our membership to donate toward this campaign. This effort provides resources for daily running of the synagogue and enables us to provide reduced dues for people who need help.

Shabbat Kiddush Lunch Fund: Everyone is invited to stay for a community Shabbat lunch to relax, greet old friends and make new ones. Donations are needed to keep this program thriving. Consider an annual or monthly donation for this meaningful Shabbat moment.
Lifecycle Appreciation: After a Wedding, Bnai Mitzvah, Funeral or other Lifecycle moment, members often make donations to our Clergy Discretionary Funds in appreciation. This additional support enables our clergy to help those within our congregation in need and support existing and new programs.
Annual Fundraiser: Each year, we host well-known celebrities (Mel Brooks, Jason Alexander, Mayim Bialik, Rob Reiner, Aaron Sorkin, etc.) for an afternoon of fun with our community. The revenue enables us to provide tuition assistance, food shelf support, and programs for our members the other 364 days of the year.
Life and Legacy: We are participating in the St Paul Federation Life & Legacy Program. This is your way to make/pledge a gift to help shape the Temple of Aaron future with an endowment.
Security Fund: We have worked with St Paul Police for the past 26 years to provide security for Shabbat, High Holidays, School, and events with large attendance. Weekly security expenses are an investment in our safety.
Members and non-members support the Temple of Aaron in numerous ways. We value those who donate time and ideas. Volunteerism is often the key to sustaining traditions and creating healthy changes. We also treasure the financial donations which help us blanace our budget, support our clergy and staff, provide programming, and maintain our building. Our members and non-members give in a variety of ways, from monthly dues to a building fund, from a yahrzeit donation to a creation of an endowment.
