Rabbi Marcus Rubenstein
Rabbi Marcus Rubenstein has served as Rabbi of Temple of Aaron since 2021. Originally from New Hyde Park, New York, he earned his BA in Religion and Music from The George Washington University, where he received a Presidential Arts Scholarship in jazz performance.
From a young age, Rabbi Marcus was inspired by the power of Torah, prayer, and God. That early passion grew into a lifelong commitment to making Judaism accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for all. He is dedicated to fostering deep relationships, guiding congregants through life’s sacred moments, and helping each person discover their unique relationship with Torah.
Before joining Temple of Aaron, Rabbi Marcus served for six years as Rabbi of Temple Sinai in Middletown, New York. There he led worship, taught learners of all ages, and helped establish a winter warming center for the unhoused during the COVID-19 pandemic. An avid musician and jazz trumpet player, Rabbi Marcus loves bringing music and creativity into spiritual life.
He serves Temple of Aaron alongside his wife and co-rabbi, Rabbi Rachel Rubenstein.
