Sisterhood
Vision statement. Temple of Aaron Sisterhood is committed to giving voice to Conservative Jewish women. Sisterhood offers enriched Jewish cultural life through active and knowledgeable observance of Jewish traditions in the home, synagogue and community. Sisterhood offers encouragement and guidance toward social responsibility through social action and community service campaigns. Sisterhood is committed to continuing Jewish education of members nationally through support of the annual Torah Fund Campaign. Sisterhood supports Israel and the Conservative Movement. Sisterhood is united through arts and crafts, knitting and our book club. Sisterhood connects with our Jewish traditions and our families. Sisterhood provides an opportunity for leadership and personal growth. Members of Sisterhood are automatically enrolled in the largest synagogue based women's organization in the world--Women's League for Conservative Judaism.
About the group's activities.
Sisterhood Knits meets the fourth Thursday of every month, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, Temple of Aaron library. Note there will be no knitting during the months of July and August, 2011.
Sisterhood Book Club meets the third Sunday of every month, 10:00 AM, at Highland Cafe & Bakery, Ford Parkway.
